The ht470’s suck in the rain and snow, have quick wear, and are generally a disappointment. Less than 2 years and 20k miles and I’m already looking to dump them.

Sounds like my old Firestone Wide Ovals. They were supposedly the stickiest tire at the shop. I accidentally did a burnout when leaving. Then I could feel the sidewall rolling around a corner at a normal speed. Put more air in and it just pushed. Awful tire. Wore faster than my Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymetricals, too.

Wow, the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 that were OEM on my FocusST wore by just looking at them. Plus, they had the awesome idea of having the thread on the center 3 bars only go 2/32nds into the tire, so once they wore that tiny amount (like 5,000 miles), the wet handling got thrown out the window.

Good to know, my Sierra will need new all seasons when the snow tires come back off in the spring. I’ll avoid these.

I don’t remember if mine were I or II, but they did wear fast. Just not as fast as the Fireshits. Also, I put the Fireshits on the back and never rotated the tires again because I hated them so much. Even with the extra work on the Goodyears, they lasted longer.

I remember when we had a CR-V that had H/T something or others on it. HATED those tires, as did every owner. Only Bridgestone Dueler I would own is the Alenza. Never heard a bad thing about them.
My 3 came with a newish set of Yokohama Avid Ascends on it, and they SUCK in the rain. Can’t wait to get them off and put my snows on just so I can drive in the wet again.

anything with tread blocks that small and straight channels is made for fording deep water and/or snow. That adds up to not much contact patch, so not much dry traction (and maybe not much wet traction if the compound is hard enough) but you are safe from skids and hydroplaning... perfect for little old ladies and boatmobiles, but not for the likes of Oppo...
